ПОЛИТИК vs. ПОЛИТИКА

When you hear or see the sentence “Мы говори́м о поли́тике”, do you know what we talk about: politics or a politician? 🤔The prepositional phrase «о поли́тике» could mean “about politics” or “about a politician”. 😲It turns out both words – поли́тика и поли́тик – have the same prepositional singular form.

политика = politics; policy (only singular form)

политик – политики = politician(s)
